Surenda was born in the southern California city of Azusa. He and his older brother Mik became partners in crime when at the early ages of 6 and 3 they began using drugs and alcohol. They started stealing their parent's alcohol and joints and tried to imitate what their parents were doing while they were nodding off on heroin highs. His dad left the family early on. His mom was in and out of abusive relationships and worked 2 jobs to provide for her 2 sons. He would go with his grandmother to church periodically for the IHOP breakfast after church. His grandmother would take him from time to time to visit his dad in prison...
