In 2007, Believin Stephen put out the song "Why Boast?" after noticing a prevalence of rappers boasting on the mic. After seeing the same trend 5 years later amongst both secular and Christian rappers Stephen felt the need to make "Why Boast Part II?" In a day in age where hip-hop is becoming more and more braggadocious and boasting in skills is widely accepted as the norm, Believin Stephen reminds listener's to strive after humility. After all, if every good gift comes from God shouldn't we boast in the giver of that gift and not that gift itself ?! Knowing that we brought nothing in to the world and contribute nothing to our salvation, Stephen admonishes others to boast in the Lord.
