Gripping vocals, shredding lyrics, relevant and innovative sound threading together the

influences of the past with the nuances of today, best describe the artistic talent and flavor in the music of Houston’s own K.A.L.I. (which means…Knowledge Always Lives Inside).

While growing up in San Diego, CA, during the 80’s era when Hip Hop was at its peak, K.A.L.I. delve deeply into writing rhythmic artistic poems and started performing at local talent shows. As he continued to perform he started to gain the attention of nationally-acclaimed recording artists in both secular and Christian genres. At the age of 17, K.A.L.I. landed a 65-city tour as a background dancer for Grammy Award -winner

and Gospel pioneer Kirk Franklin. He would share the stage with the likes of Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, CeCe Winans, and Tonex, among many other mainstream artists. K.A.L.I. has also shared stages with many of Hip Hop’s most respected rappers such as, DJ Quick, Slim Thug, Chamillionaire, Lil Flip, and Paul Wall. K.A.L.I. has also appeared on numerous prime-time network television shows. 

K.A.L.I. is a talented writer, rapper, and artist. His ear for music and upbeat rhythms coupled with life experiences have enabled him to create tunes that are thought-provoking and relevant. His trademark smooth, yet bold voice is easy on the ear to all who listen to his music; from the Hip Hop enthusiast to the Hip Hop novice.
